About the role
- Translate business needs: partner with Finance teams to gather and document business and user requirements
- Design Data Architecture: help design and advocate for the architecture of the Finance Data Mart on Snowflake
- Build and support Finance Data Mart on Snowflake to enable finance-specific reporting
- Support Loan Acquisition Projects: support data requirements and ingestion processes for asset acquisition deals
- Enable Regulatory Reporting: collaborate with Finance and Technology teams to support regulatory reporting and build data flows for compliance
- Drive Tool Implementation: make the case for new tools and access needs related to Snowflake and other platforms
- Facilitate Testing & Delivery: support testing efforts, troubleshoot bugs, and coordinate with vendors
- Lead Small Projects: manage enhancements and small-scale initiatives to meet business objectives
- Collaborate Across Teams: work closely with Treasury, Accounting, FP&A, Finance Business Partners, Credit Risk, and Technology
- Maintain Application Roadmaps: oversee upgrade schedules, lifecycle activities, and disaster recovery planning for finance-related applications
- Support Data Automation: develop strategies for automating data flows between systems and supporting external regulatory reporting
- Provide Technical Support: assist with production support and documentation for effective application operations
- Stay Responsive: be available for on-call support and occasional travel as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical/related discipline required, or equivalent work or education related experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with business software applications
- Understanding of various project methodologies, including waterfall and agile
- Knowledge of SQL and/or various relational database concepts and languages
- Troubleshooting skills to identify problems from a functional perspective, specifically when supporting end-user testing and training
- Experience with multiple problem-solving methods and ability to use them as situationally appropriate
- Knowledge of SDLC practices
- Ability to draw technical diagrams to represent existing application relationships and designs for future state applications or data/process flows
- Proven ability to stay current with emerging technologies and new applications of existing technologies
- Proven ability to manage solutions delivered in multiple programming languages and technical environments
- Proficient verbal and written skills to effectively communicate in the English language
- Skilled in multiple methods for analyzing and validating data at the source (e.g. SQL queries)
- Must be a resident of Washington State
- Be available for on-call support and occasional travel as needed
