About the role

  • Serve as primary internal communications partner for Technology, RCC (Risk, Compliance & Cyber), and Operations
  • Shape how employees connect with BECU’s purpose, vision, values, and strategies
  • Develop and implement tailored internal communications strategies to support engagement and awareness
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and advise senior leadership on communication strategy
  • Create high-impact content across email, intranet, presentations, infographics, and video scripts
  • Maintain editorial consistency with internal and external communications teams
  • Define metrics, measure communication effectiveness, and optimize strategies
  • Manage and improve internal communication channels and calendars
  • Support on-site company events, conferences, and meetings
  • Lead high-impact initiatives, craft thoughtful communications, and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically requires 5+ years of corporate writing, editing, creative design, or content management experience
  • Typically requires 3+ years managing complex enterprise-level projects from start to finish
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new platforms and tools
  • Experience managing agency/vendor partnerships for communications deliverables
  • Proven success managing internal communication programs and building effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Experience with business writing utilizing AP Style, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Skilled in verbal communication and cross-functional consensus building
  • Experience with design platforms like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency in video direction, editing, and production
  • Must reside in the state of Washington and live within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila
  • Required to come into HQ on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
