About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serves as a strategic business partner to clients
- Delivering high-level sales and service support
- Independently identify and pursue new revenue opportunities
- Expand service offerings with current customers
- Prioritize high-margin opportunities
- Partner with internal teams to manage account requirements
- Delegate work to coordinators
- Make autonomous decisions to meet customer SLAs
- Guide the onboarding and development of Account Coordinators
- Make independent decisions in targeting and securing at least two new customers per month
- Maintain and self-direct outbound sales, discovery calls, prospecting, and CRM cleanup efforts
Requirements
What you’ll need- A bachelor’s degree in sales preferred
- 7+ year of experience in working with shippers in the freight/logistics industry
- 5+ year of experience in sales, operations, account management, or similar functions
- Demonstrated success in high-growth environment, including process development, implementation, and execution
- Possess strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Comfortable with change
- Resourceful and flexible
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized
- Manage and prioritize competing demands
- Excel proficiency preferred
- Experience with McLeod Software preferred
