About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serves as a strategic business partner to clients
  • Delivering high-level sales and service support
  • Independently identify and pursue new revenue opportunities
  • Expand service offerings with current customers
  • Prioritize high-margin opportunities
  • Partner with internal teams to manage account requirements
  • Delegate work to coordinators
  • Make autonomous decisions to meet customer SLAs
  • Guide the onboarding and development of Account Coordinators
  • Make independent decisions in targeting and securing at least two new customers per month
  • Maintain and self-direct outbound sales, discovery calls, prospecting, and CRM cleanup efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor’s degree in sales preferred
  • 7+ year of experience in working with shippers in the freight/logistics industry
  • 5+ year of experience in sales, operations, account management, or similar functions
  • Demonstrated success in high-growth environment, including process development, implementation, and execution
  • Possess strong interpersonal and time management skills
  • Comfortable with change
  • Resourceful and flexible
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized
  • Manage and prioritize competing demands
  • Excel proficiency preferred
  • Experience with McLeod Software preferred
