About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct outbound outreach to patients regarding outstanding balances and follow up until each balance is resolved.
  • Set up and document patient payment arrangements during outreach.
  • Answer inbound patient calls regarding balances, statements, and payment questions.
  • Resolve billing inquiries and process patient payments over the phone.
  • Accurately log all patient interactions, commitments, and payment arrangements in the patient ledger.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in patient billing, patient financial services, front desk, or a call-based customer service role.
  • Clear, patient, and professional phone communication, especially regarding financial conversations.
  • Comfort setting up payment arrangements and handling balance conversations with empathy.
  • Familiarity with at least one dental practice management system, with willingness to cross-train.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
