About the role

  • Lead and coordinate developer experience initiatives across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.
  • Develop, document, and refine processes, tools, and best practices that support developer productivity and satisfaction.
  • Building trust between infrastructure/platform teams and product developers.
  • Translate developer frustrations into actionable roadmap items.
  • Hosting developer forums, office hours, workshops, or internal "DevX days".
  • Oversee the implementation of developer tools, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation standards.
  • Track, analyze, and report on developer productivity and satisfaction metrics, recommending improvements.
  • Manage feedback channels, triage issues, and work with teams to prioritize and address pain points.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and advocacy.
  • Participate in process reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of developer experience methodologies.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or developer experience roles, with at least 1 year in a lead or management position.
  • Prior experience in developer advocacy, technical writing, or community management.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, developer tools, and best practices.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in user research and developer journey mapping.
  • Experience translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders with empathy and clarity.
