About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct investigations and due diligence for loan proposals
Present high-quality proposals with analysis and documentation
Underwrite medium to high complexity loan proposals
Develop terms, pricing, conditions, and covenants
Review loan packages and negotiate structuring with internal partners
Resolve compliance or material changes during negotiations
Foster relationships with colleagues and business center personnel
Coach new employees and mentor team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration or accounting
CPA designation and banking experience as an asset
3 to 5 years or more of relevant experience
Experience in corporate and/or syndicated financing
Experience in loan writing and ability to analyze and structure complex financial deals
Sound credit judgement with understanding of credit policies and practices
Thorough knowledge of bank products and ability to provide high quality customer service
Ability to develop win-win solutions through innovative thinking
Strong communication skills for internal negotiations and client interactions
Good time management and priority setting skills
Team player with understanding of small business and mid-market dynamics
Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
