Employee Relations Manager
BDEmployee Relations Manager role at BD providing HR support and strategic guidance on employee relations issues. Collaborating with leadership and managing compliance to improve workplace culture.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides advice and counsel to managers and associates on various employee relations and management issues.
- Works collaboratively with leaders, managers, HRBP’s, and associates.
- Reviews and assists managers in reviewing corrective action and performance management.
- Identifies and analyzes legal/compliance risks in employment situations.
- Partners with the Labor & Employment Legal team to review and make recommendations on complex issues.
- Manages ADA accommodation and workplace restriction processes.
- Stays current on the latest developments and changes in employment laws.
- Conducts internal investigations and documents findings.
- Collaborates with the Global Learning team on training programs related to employee relations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Management, Human Resources, or Psychology.
- Will accept an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- SPHR or PHR preferred
- Minimum of 6 years of cumulative direct Employee Relations experience.
- Experience supporting manufacturing function required
- Experience with exempt-level professionals and senior-level management with direct experience providing strategic guidance on employee relations issues required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities required
- Strong analytical skills and ability to exercise sound judgment required
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to inspire trust and confidence required
- Knowledge of employment law, ADA, FLSA, DOL Title VII, FMLA, and USSERA preferred
