About the role

  • Sell, drive profitable growth and perform total account management for DS Product Portfolio in hospitals and clinical labs within assigned territory
  • Develop and implement territory and strategic account sales plans; lead account planning tailored to hospital economic and strategic drivers
  • Demonstrate product features, benefits, and economic justification; provide product information and demonstrations
  • Maintain and grow base revenue stream; ensure customer satisfaction through consistent and ongoing customer contact and post-sales support
  • Work with BD customer-facing associates and distribution partners to support customer growth and long-term retention
  • Manage sales process across clinical laboratory, infectious disease clinicians, pharmacy, value analysis, hospital administration, and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate installations with Service organization and support long-term customer success
  • Monitor expenses to budget, report administrative and call data, enter funnel and competitive data, manage contracts and renewals, and adhere to OHSA and Universal Lab precautions
  • Live BD Values, including BD Code of Conduct and AdvaMed rules

Requirements

  • BA / BS in Life Sciences, biological areas, business or related field
  • Equivalent experience in Medical Technology (MT ASCP) or Microbiology is acceptable
  • Minimum 3 years documented sales success (top 20%) in broad range laboratory products
  • Minimum 1-year clinical laboratory and/or hospital sales
  • Combination of clinical market sales, financial or technical selling experience required
  • Knowledge of DS product portfolio: Manual Microbiology, Blood Culture, TB, ID/AST, and Molecular Diagnostics
  • Most roles require 4 days in the office each week
  • In some locations, employment may be contingent on proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
