About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Category Strategy development & Supplier Relationship Management with mainly global suppliers
- Strategy / Program Execution in support to the category strategy for assigned categories
- Functional LT liaison, influence, and engagement with key stakeholders, peers, sites, etc.
- Ensure proactive Risk Management strategies are developed and executed
- Innovation / Technology / Process improvement / Sustainability & Responsible sourcing efforts
- Develop category strategies for assigned categories that align with corporate and functional objectives
- Lead programs and global initiatives, partnering with Procurement Managers and the Procurement Center of Excellence to select suppliers
- Measure and review supplier performance, lead or support supplier continuous improvement programs
- Negotiate contracts, SOWs, establishing proper SOPs
- Develop and implement effective cost management programs to deliver year-on-year cost improvement
- Investigate supply market and develop an understanding of market conditions that impact your category
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- MBA degree (Desirable)
- 10+ years primary packaging category experience
- 10+ years global category management experience
- Procurement excellence on Negotiations
- Cost Management practices
- Supplier driven value and continuous improvement
- Experience in handling Global teams (solid or dotted line resources)
- Strong program management skills for small-medium programs
- Experience in strategic sourcing process or category management with successful implementation
- Strategic agility and business acumen
- Able to execute supplier value management, supplier development and continuous improvement
- Adept at leading and working in diverse and ambiguous environments
- Travel about 25% - 40% of the time
