About the role
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for the products and solutions
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key opinion leaders, hospital administrators, purchasing departments, and other relevant collaborators within the Portuguese healthcare system
- Identify new business opportunities, conduct comprehensive market analysis, and develop strategies to penetrate new accounts and expand existing ones
- Present and demonstrate the portfolio, showcasing value propositions and clinical benefits to healthcare professionals
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sales with customers, ensuring profitability and compliance with company policies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, clinical, and technical support teams to provide comprehensive solutions and excellent customer service
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies
- Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts, reports, and administrative documentation in a timely manner
- Provide training and support to customers on the effective use of the products
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, Nursing)
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive sales experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of the Portuguese healthcare market, including procurement processes and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships at various levels within healthcare organizations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in both Portuguese and Spanish
- Fluent English is a plus
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
