About the role

  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for the products and solutions
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key opinion leaders, hospital administrators, purchasing departments, and other relevant collaborators within the Portuguese healthcare system
  • Identify new business opportunities, conduct comprehensive market analysis, and develop strategies to penetrate new accounts and expand existing ones
  • Present and demonstrate the portfolio, showcasing value propositions and clinical benefits to healthcare professionals
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sales with customers, ensuring profitability and compliance with company policies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, clinical, and technical support teams to provide comprehensive solutions and excellent customer service
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies
  • Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts, reports, and administrative documentation in a timely manner
  • Provide training and support to customers on the effective use of the products

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, Nursing)
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive sales experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of the Portuguese healthcare market, including procurement processes and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships at various levels within healthcare organizations
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in both Portuguese and Spanish
  • Fluent English is a plus
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
