Provide routine hardware service and remote diagnostic activities under close supervision
Maintain the configuration management system and configuration management database (CMDB)
Operate and control installed hardware and software
Execute tasks and procedures to agreed service levels and specific requirements
Follow plans and instructions to install or remove hardware and software
Track and check hardware and software items against installation or removal instructions
Install and remove hardware and software using supplied instructions, tools, and agreed standards
Support fellow technicians telephonically using remote tools and customer software packages such as Remedy
Drive SLA compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need

NQF 4: Grade 12
National Diploma listed as additional education
Minimum 2 years’ experience attending to and installing hardware solutions within the retail environment
CompTIA, Microsoft Systems Associate or Engineer (MCSA or MCSE), Linux LPIC (1 and 2), Certified Linux Administrator, or CompTIA Linux+ certifications listed
Willingness and ability to travel locally
Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle, both required
Ability to work extended or long hours as required
