About the role

  • Design, develop and maintain backend services and data components using C# and PostgreSQL
  • Deliver high-quality backend functionality and improve system performance
  • Support the modernisation of legacy workloads through clean architecture, automation, and engineering best practices
  • Develop backend services, business logic and database components using C# (.NET) and PostgreSQL
  • Implement clean, secure, testable code aligned to architecture standards and coding best practices
  • Optimise database structures, queries and stored procedures for performance and scalability
  • Develop unit tests, integration tests and support CI/CD pipelines
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve production and non-production defects within agreed SLAs
  • Contribute to backend technical designs, documentation and code reviews
  • Collaborate with UI, integration, QA and platform teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

Requirements

  • NQF 6: 3 year Degree/ Diploma/ National Diploma
  • 7-10 years coding in C# (Framework and Core)
  • Database Certification
  • Professional Memberships in Relevant Industry
  • Prior experience with Natural/Adabas or COBOL Payroll environments is beneficial
  • Advantageous: Experience migrating from legacy systems
