About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage operational projects, program optimization projects, special projects, technology product implementations, new implementations, medium to high complexity local country implementations, and account de-implementations for global accounts
- Coordinate multiple countries simultaneously when required
- Scope, plan, analyze, initiate, execute, monitor, and control projects using project management methodologies, tools, and processes
- Deliver projects within budget and actively manage project costs
- Work closely with Finance to track project budgets throughout the project lifecycle
- Deliver projects within allocated time and resource targets while satisfying defined scope and quality
- Ensure performance measurements comply with departmental/project Service Level Agreements
- Leverage global, regional, and local resources across departments and functions
- Facilitate effective, ongoing communication with project participants and key client stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior experience in a qualified project management role in the travel industry
- Personnel management experience
- General knowledge of GDS systems and front/mid/back office agency operations
- Advanced knowledge of project management software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Smartsheet preferred
- Ability to manage 25–50% or higher ratio of complex projects
- Professional, concise, and mature written and verbal communication skills
- Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt, PMP, or other project management certification preferred but not required
