About the role
- Set the platform development roadmap for enterprise reporting, self service analytics, and insight products embedded in our SaaS platform, aligned to OKRs and customer outcomes
- Lead & grow high performing teams spanning product analytics, data science, and BI/analytics engineering; establish clear role expectations, coaching rhythms, and succession plans
- Build & scale the data/analytics stack: semantic metrics layer, governed datasets, event instrumentation/telemetry, experimentation frameworks, and analytics observability; drive reliability, performance, and cost efficiency at scale
- Deliver customer facing and internal stakeholder insights (dashboards, anomaly alerts, executive scorecards) and internal decision tools that quantify value (savings, leakage, compliance, adoption, ROI)
- Advance data science use cases across forecasting, optimization, anomaly/fraud/leakage detection, causal inference, and personalization; operationalize models with robust monitoring and A/B testing
- Institutionalize data governance (quality, lineage, privacy/security) and champion Responsible AI; partner with Security/Compliance on controls (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR/CCPA)
- Own portfolio execution—from discovery and design to GA and iteration—using evidence based prioritization, strong program management, and crisp executive communication with internal stakeholders, leaders and clients
- Partner across the business to support commercial motions (value narratives, demos, analytics SLAs) and customer outcomes (adoption playbooks, benchmarks, and health KPIs)
- Hire, grow, and mentor team members to effectively and efficiently build, deploy and scale data and insights products
Requirements
- Extensive experience leading analytics/insights organizations with direct management of product team members and data science practitioners in a SaaS or data rich product context
- Proven track record building and scaling enterprise reporting, analytics, and insights platforms/products used by external customers.
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI, Thoughtspot or Sigma preferred
- Domain experience in corporate travel or spend management (e.g., T&E, procurement/AP, payments) or adjacent B2B data products
- Deep fluency with cloud data warehousing, semantic/metrics layers, BI tooling, and experimentation; solid grasp of ML lifecycle and MLOps best practices
- Strong product sense and storytelling; ability to translate complex analytics into simple narratives and actions for executives and customers
- Excellence in stakeholder management, roadmap prioritization, and change leadership across matrixed, global organizations
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience; advanced degree a plus.
