About the role
- The Accountant supports the Finance team and the organization by ensuring that financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly
- Contributes to month-end and year-end close processes
- Assists with reconciliations and financial reporting
- Ensures strong internal controls and organized financial recordkeeping
- Processes accounts payable invoices and prepares vendor payments
- Assists in processing accounts receivable transactions
- Performs monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assists with providing information to auditors for year-end audit
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a full-cycle accounting role
- Proficiency with accounting software (Acumatica is an asset) and Microsoft Excel
- Prior experience with non-profit accounting is an asset
