About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supports core financial operations, including month-end and year-end close, payment review, capital asset accounting, and preparation of accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversees system administration, financial system structures, and data integrity to maintain strong internal controls.
  • Collaborates with internal teams in support of the annual audit and drives continuous improvement in financial processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting, and a minimum of two years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience applying PSAS, with the ability to interpret and apply standards to support sound financial analysis and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting core financial processes, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, financial analysis, and month-end and quarter-end close.
  • Demonstrated experience working with enterprise financial systems, including system administration, user access, master data management, and system configuration.
  • Demonstrated experience providing clear guidance and professional support to staff and stakeholders, including reviewing work, offering feedback, and explaining financial processes and system requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience applying intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including use of PivotTables and lookup functions.
