About the role

  • Elicit, structure and refine requirements (e.g., through interviews, workshops, use cases, story mapping)
  • Write clear, actionable user stories, epics and acceptance criteria
  • Support the client-side Product Owner with prioritization, backlog maintenance and preparation of refinement sessions
  • Model and evolve business processes (BPMN, EPK), including quality and consistency checks
  • Facilitate workshops, present results and act as a bridge between the business domain and the development team
  • Contribute to internal topics such as process optimization, knowledge transfer and expansion of the skills matrix

Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in agile software projects
  • Strong expertise in requirements engineering, including methods & modeling (UML 2.x, ERM/SERM, OOA)
  • Proficient with tools such as JIRA and Confluence, and, where applicable, modeling tools (e.g., Innovator)
  • Excellent analytical skills and a structured, precise way of working
  • Confident presence, strong moderation skills and enjoyment of communication
  • High flexibility and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new client environments
  • Fluent German (C1), as many client requirements are in German
  • Nice-to-have: experience with the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit)
  • Current valid security clearance or willingness to undergo one
  • Knowledge of quality assurance for business concepts, testing/acceptance procedures, MDA (Model-Driven Architecture), and software architecture
