About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Care for diverse adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions
- Develop clinical judgment, assessment, prioritization, and care coordination skills
- Provide medical/surgical care, acute medical management, surgical and post-operative care, telemetry and cardiac monitoring, neurological care, renal care, orthopedic care, oncology-related care, observation-level care, and higher-acuity medical/surgical care as applicable to the unit
- Collaborate with experienced nurses, providers, educators, and interdisciplinary teams
- Work in community hospital or academic medical center environments depending on the position
- Meet unit-specific shift, weekend, and holiday expectations
- Build clinical expertise and advance nursing practice within Baystate Health
Requirements
What you’ll need- Diploma in Nursing (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
- Registered Nurse certification/licensure in the State of Massachusetts
- Ability to care for adult patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions
