Training Specialist, Clinical Indication
Baylor GeneticsGenetic Counseling Clinical Support Training Specialist responsible for designing training programs and delivering support for clinical workflows. Collaborating with teams to enhance onboarding and training efficiencies.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Designing and delivering structured training programs that enable rapid onboarding and consistent performance across clinical indication workflows.
- Supporting workforce scaling by standardizing training, improving ramp time to productivity, and reducing reliance on production staff for onboarding.
- Partnering closely with clinical, operations, and quality teams to ensure training aligns with current workflows, quality standards, and evolving system capabilities.
- Developing and maintaining training materials, including SOPs, job aids, workflow guides, and competency assessments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master of Science or Master of Arts in Genetic Counseling from an ACGC-accredited program or equivalent.
- Board certified in Genetic Counseling by ABMGG or ABGC.
- Must be eligible to work in the USA without restrictions.
- 3–5+ years of experience in a clinical genetic testing laboratory strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical indication review, data abstraction, or clinical workflow execution.
- Prior experience in training, onboarding, or curriculum development preferred.
