- Identify and resolve eligibility discrepancies to prevent billing and reimbursement delays
- Handle complex and escalated eligibility issues with payers and other departments
- Mentor and guide junior eligibility specialists on advanced problems, challenging cases, best practices, and procedures
- Collaborate with billing, coding, and payer relations teams to proactively address eligibility and benefit verification issues
- Maintain current eligibility information in payer systems
- Monitor changes in payer policies and insurance coverage requirements to reduce claim denials
- Generate and review reports on eligibility verification, payer-specific trends, discrepancies, and best practices
- Analyze performance reports, identify trends and improvement areas, and share insights with management
