About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Communicate effectively with professional clients, ensuring coordination of complex cases and relaying abnormal or intricate results.
Perform critical review of test orders and laboratory reports for accuracy and precision.
Facilitate management of complex cases between various internal teams and external clients
Act as a liaison between professional clients and laboratory teams.
Educate and support professional trainees, including genetic counseling students.
Contribute to new test development, policies, and procedures.
Collaborate on professional manuscripts and presentations related to genetics.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Education: Master of Science or Master of Arts in Genetic Counseling from an ACGC-accredited program or equivalent.
Experience: Experience (1+ years) in clinical or laboratory genetics preferred.
Certification: Board certified or Board eligible in Genetic Counseling by ABMG or ABGC.
