Genetic Counselor I

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Communicate effectively with professional clients, ensuring coordination of complex cases and relaying abnormal or intricate results.
- Perform critical review of test orders and laboratory reports for accuracy and precision.
- Facilitate management of complex cases between various internal teams and external clients
- Act as a liaison between professional clients and laboratory teams.
- Educate and support professional trainees, including genetic counseling students.
- Contribute to new test development, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate on professional manuscripts and presentations related to genetics.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education: Master of Science or Master of Arts in Genetic Counseling from an ACGC-accredited program or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience (1+ years) in clinical or laboratory genetics preferred.
- Certification: Board certified or Board eligible in Genetic Counseling by ABMG or ABGC.
