About the role
- Implement, support, and maintain Epic EMR integrations for test ordering, results delivery, and data exchange.
- Serve as a technical partner to Epic Application Analysts during customer onboarding and ongoing support.
- Monitor and maintain data quality across interfaces, proactively identifying and resolving data issues.
- Troubleshoot interface errors using logs, monitoring tools, and database queries.
- Collaborate with engineering and informatics teams to streamline integration workflows and improve automation.
- Develop and maintain internal documentation, SOPs, and integration guides.
- Contribute to Baylor Genetics’ digital health and interoperability roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in health information technology, computer science, biomedical informatics, healthcare administration, or a related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare data integration, health IT, or interoperability
- Experience supporting EMR integrations, preferably in a laboratory or diagnostics environment
- Experience working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability and clinical data workflows
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and troubleshooting
- Experience with APIs and interface monitoring tools
