About the role
- Sell Baxter surgical capital equipment and connected solutions across assigned territory (lights, booms, surgical tables, OR integration, etc.)
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans and forecasts for target market opportunities
- Execute full sales cycle: opportunity prioritization, qualification, presentations, follow‑up, and goal attainment
- Coordinate with clinical consultants, product specialists, construction solution architects, corporate accounts, and product management to deliver end‑to‑end solutions
- Use data and analytical insights to identify key opportunities and drive year‑over‑year backlog growth
- Implement consultative selling to uncover unmet needs and deliver solution‑driven proposals
- Use marketing communications to support promotional activities and improve product visibility
- Ensure Surgical Solutions product portfolio is specified at early stages to drive orders
- Work from home office and manage territory activities with up to 60% travel
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred (not required)
- 3+ years of outside sales experience with a bachelor's degree OR 8+ years relevant sales experience
- Medical device capital equipment sales experience preferred
- Durable medical equipment solutions selling preferred
- O.R. integration experience is a plus
- Effective influencing skills with personnel from nurses to C‑level decision makers
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, organizational, problem solving, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills for sales planning, forecasting, and competitive analysis
- Ability to prepare customer presentations and manage full sales cycle
- Willingness to travel up to 60%, including overnight travel
- Must reside in Rochester, NY or Syracuse, NY area (home base requirement)
