About the role
- Represent Baxter and promote Surgical Portfolio products within assigned geography
- Build relationships with surgeons, nurses, and operating room staff and support clinical adoption
- Prospecting, lead generation, scheduling and completing sales calls, and following up on opportunities
- Formulate and implement selling strategies to sell products of intermediate complexity by phone and on site
- Support product demonstrations, trials, in-servicing, site visits, product fairs, and mock rooms
- Record activities and contacts within Salesforce.com and maintain accurate information
- Collaborate with regional Sales Consultants and cross-functional partners to achieve business goals
- Travel up to 75% within assigned territory and cover the state of Minnesota
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred with 2+ years’ experience OR minimum 2 years’ experience in an inside or field sales role in the healthcare or similar industry
- Medical device experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of clinical workflow/clinical language, hospital environment a plus
- Computer literate with strong understanding of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Salesforce knowledge is a plus
- Excellent formal presentation skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Flexible, autonomous, and ability to collaborate with multiple team members
- Must be willing/able to travel at least 50-75% within assigned territory
