About the role

  • You actively drive the further development and implementation of the BAUHAUS sustainability strategy.
  • You support the collection of ESG metrics and the implementation of sustainability measures across business units and national subsidiaries.
  • You prepare the sustainability report in accordance with regulatory requirements (CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy).
  • Annually, you compile and calculate the CO2 balance according to the GHG Protocol and optimize it using digital tools.
  • From the CO2 balance results, you identify opportunities to improve data quality and reduce emissions.
  • You collaborate on climate protection topics within industry initiatives and engage with suppliers on these matters.
  • You continuously monitor and analyze regulatory developments as well as legal and market-related trends.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification and professional experience in the field of sustainability
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting, double materiality analysis and carbon accounting
  • Experience in the retail sector is desirable
  • Affinity for data and IT tools
  • Experience managing projects in an international environment
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English
  • Strong skills in MS Office and SAP
  • Confident communicator able to engage with all organizational levels
  • Very good collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Constructive, solution- and implementation-oriented working style
