Oversee the commercial and contractual delivery of construction projects across the portfolio
Manage external contractors, Council relationships, and internal stakeholders to meet project and contractual obligations
Ensure builds are completed on time, to specification, and within budget while maintaining commercial control
Lead contractor selection, appointment, performance management, and compliance including H&S, CDM 2015 and NRSWA
Maintain build and installation specifications, technical data, and site information across internal systems
Coordinate closely with internal teams to align builds with business goals
Work with Site Inspectors to ensure installation readiness and track remedial actions
Maintain understanding of contractual obligations with councils and partners and monitor contract performance
Validate construction delivery aligns with estate contract terms and operational SLAs and flag anomalies
Identify and track risks to budget, timeline, and delivery scope and recommend mitigations
Analyse cost data and project margins to support commercial decisions
Provide feedback on commercial and estate optimisation opportunities
Act as main point of contact during contract and construction delivery and build strong relationships with Brighton & Hove council, highways departments and contractors
Keep project data and status regularly updated across key platforms and maintain accurate records of work orders, purchase orders, contractor updates, build specs and site status
Track site data to ensure consistency between contract terms, system records and the physical estate
Use system reporting to support programme tracking, risk identification and contract compliance
Requirements
Strong background in contract and construction project management
Experience managing contractors and delivering multi-site build programmes
Commercial acumen and confident decision-making on project cost, delivery, and compliance
Comfortable managing complex stakeholder environments (internal and external)
Familiar with CDM 2015, NRSWA and H&S best practices
Skilled in negotiation and supplier management
Knowledge of estate and landlord contract structures desirable
Confident working with internal systems (e.g. EAM or equivalent)
Full UK driving licence
Preferred (but not essential): SMSTS / IOSH / NEBOSH
Preferred (but not essential): Prince2 or equivalent project qualification
Preferred (but not essential): HNC in Construction or equivalent
