About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct research on technology policy and regulatory developments across the Indo-Pacific, including AI governance, online safety, semiconductors, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity and digital trade.
  • Draft read-aheads, briefing memos and talking points for senior BGA leadership ahead of client and prospect meetings.
  • Support the development of scopes of work, proposals and pitch materials.
  • Contribute to BGA's flagship regional research products, including the State of AI Policy report, the Online Safety Tracker, the AI-Generated Content Labelling Tracker, the Data Center Investment report and the Indo-Pacific Forecast.
  • Track legislative, regulatory and political developments across BGA's priority technology markets and synthesize implications for clients.
  • Attend Singapore-based industry briefings, events and association meetings; prepare readouts for the broader team.
  • Maintain and update Salesforce records, including contacts, account notes and engagement history.
  • Support the Tech BD team on internal coordination, including analyst huddles, weekly team call agendas and offsite logistics.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Pursuing or holding a graduate degree in international affairs, public policy, public affairs, area studies, journalism or a related field; outstanding undergraduate candidates with equivalent experience considered.
  • Demonstrated interest in technology policy, the Indo-Pacific region and/or government affairs consulting.
  • Strong research, analytical and writing skills in English; proficiency in an Asian language is a plus.
  • Comfort managing multiple workstreams under deadline pressure.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and collegial; able to take direction from multiple stakeholders.
  • Authorization to work in Singapore required.
