About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Market Asset Protection Manager (MAPM) manages Asset Protection and Safety program activities in two or more store locations within the assigned market and reports to the Regional Asset Protection Manager.
- Conduct store visits (Business Snapshots) and audits to support and evaluate operational compliance, identify policy and procedure violations, assess store compliance in support of company policy, operational compliance and increased store profitability.
- Provides direct feedback to General Managers (GMs) on receiving, high-risk merchandise handling, and physical security.
- Guides store teams through Shrink Action Plans that are practical, and results driven.
- Provides in the moment coaching to Outfitters and Managers on customer engagement, merchandise protection, and operational discipline.
- Initiates and conducts investigations into all known or suspected violations of company policy with specific attention to potential dishonest activity.
- Provides management reports summarizing and analyzing losses and potential profit loss as identified through audits and investigations; recommends and implements corrective action in conjunction with Store Operations counterparts.
- Conducts training on Asset Protection policies and procedures to groups of associates including store associates, store managers and other field managers.
- Develop strategies and programs designed to reduce shortage and accident frequency in both Worker’s Compensation and General Liability.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Criminal Justice from an accredited institution
- Certification in Wicklander Zulawski Investigative Interviewing is preferred
- 3 to 5 years of supervisory/management experience in a multi-unit retail with experience in training/coaching of field management in AP operations
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Ongoing verification of driving eligibility will be conducted to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Must be at least 18 years old to qualify for this position.
