Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a highly regulated and complex chemical manufacturing operation
Full accountability for safety, compliance, and business performance
Manage significant site operating budget with full accountability for cost performance
Lead and develop a team of approximately 60 employees
Drive strong EHS culture and operational risk management
Ensure full compliance with all environmental permits and regulatory requirements
Represent BASF externally as the accountable site leader
Oversee and prioritize annual CapEx investment portfolio

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related technical field
Significant experience in chemical manufacturing or other high-hazard industrial environments
Deep expertise in process safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory frameworks
Proven accountability for maintaining a site’s license to operate
Strong business acumen, with experience managing large and complex operating budgets
Ability to drive cost efficiency and asset performance
Track record of leading organizations of comparable size and complexity
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and developing leaders
Confidence engaging with a broad range of stakeholders, including regulators and community representatives
Results-driven mindset with ability to lead transformation and operational excellence
