About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Developing and implementing global and local sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, cost targets, and risk management priorities
- Ensuring cost leadership through benchmarking and cost-reduction initiatives
- Maintaining and improving the existing toll manufacturer and co‑producer network; managing supplier relationships through KPIs, scorecards, corrective action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identifying, evaluating, and qualifying suppliers on a global and local scale
- Conducting supplier audits and performance assessments
- Leading contract manufacturing projects
- Negotiating commercial terms such as pricing, service levels, lead times, and contracts
- Establishing long-term supplier agreements and preferred supplier lists
- Monitoring market trends, commodity prices, and supply risks, and implementing appropriate mitigation measures
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory, ethical, and sustainability requirements
- Supporting demand planning and inventory optimization in close collaboration with planning and production teams
- Ensuring accurate and complete documentation for audits and reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed master’s degree in Chemistry, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- At least five years of professional experience in sourcing, ideally with exposure to marketing, product management, supply chain, sales, R&D, or production
- In-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing methods, negotiation techniques, supplier management, and basic contract law
- Strong analytical skills and a project-oriented working style
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Team player with intercultural competence and willingness to travel regularly
