About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Developing and implementing global and local sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, cost targets, and risk management priorities
Ensuring cost leadership through benchmarking and cost-reduction initiatives
Maintaining and improving the existing toll manufacturer and co‑producer network; managing supplier relationships through KPIs, scorecards, corrective action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives
Identifying, evaluating, and qualifying suppliers on a global and local scale
Conducting supplier audits and performance assessments
Leading contract manufacturing projects
Negotiating commercial terms such as pricing, service levels, lead times, and contracts
Establishing long-term supplier agreements and preferred supplier lists
Monitoring market trends, commodity prices, and supply risks, and implementing appropriate mitigation measures
Ensuring compliance with regulatory, ethical, and sustainability requirements
Supporting demand planning and inventory optimization in close collaboration with planning and production teams
Ensuring accurate and complete documentation for audits and reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed master’s degree in Chemistry, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
At least five years of professional experience in sourcing, ideally with exposure to marketing, product management, supply chain, sales, R&D, or production
In-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing methods, negotiation techniques, supplier management, and basic contract law
Strong analytical skills and a project-oriented working style
Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English
Demonstrated leadership skills
Team player with intercultural competence and willingness to travel regularly
