About the role

  • Provide support for BASF Corporation sites in the region and contribute to improvements as part of the BASF Machinery, Asset Maintenance and Reliability Community.
  • Provide on-site support to continuously improve rotating equipment availability and assist in developing resolutions to bad actors or developing comprehensive maintenance strategies for critical equipment.
  • Leverage engineering education and experience with rotating equipment troubleshooting and repair to support manufacturing sites producing a wide range of products.
  • Utilize depth of expertise to support plant maintenance and reliability teams by working together to diagnose issues, develop, and implement repairs and corrective actions for planned and emergency repairs, overhauls and outages.
  • Support sites in the region by providing rotating equipment expertise to drive sustainable improvements.
  • Lead and participate in site Reliability Programs including (but not limited to) Bad Actor Program, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Root Cause Failure Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Risk Based Maintenance, etc.
  • Work with related functions of BASF Engineering and Maintenance globally to align on work processes, procedures, methodologies, best practices, etc.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
  • Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
  • Possess 5 years of experience in rotating equipment troubleshooting and repair to support manufacturing sites.
  • Have the ability to make crucial business decisions and recommendations to identify areas for improvement and increase equipment reliability.
  • Have experience providing input on capital projects is a plus.
