About the role
- Draft, review, and negotiate local or international legal and intellectual property contracts
- Provide legal and compliance support on various matters, including due diligence, merger and acquisition projects, audits, and legal investigations
- Manage the contract lifecycle and ensure process efficiency
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of contract templates and knowledge management systems
- Interact with internal clients and external customers as required for assigned tasks
- Prepare presentations, using legal tech tools, and handling translations
Requirements
- University degree in Law, preferably with a focus on commercial law
- At least 3 years of professional experience in legal and commercial contract management, preferably with knowledge or practice of both common-law and civil-law systems
- Experienced in drafting and performing legal review of contracts, preferably with an emphasis on commercial law
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, enabling effective contribution in an international environment
- Experienced in working with legal databases and standard IT applications
- Strong analytical skills, a goal-oriented working style, and a pronounced customer orientation
