About the role
- Act as the Product Owner for one or multiple R&D digital products used by different business functions
- Engage in dialogue with the Product Family Manager regarding the overall Seeds Digital Roadmap
- Collaborate with a digital product team to gather requirements and perform functional analysis
- Utilize science education and digital expertise to drive innovative solutions for R&D
- Define product vision with the product manager and team, and ensure improvements according to business requirements
- Manage the product's maintenance and lifecycle
- Lead an agile development team through technical analysis, design, implementation, user testing, and rollout
- Maintain relationships with external partners and vendors reliant on the product
- Contribute to the overall vision of the digital landscape and address product interdependencies
Requirements
- Master’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a PhD, in a relevant field of digital life science
- Hands-on experience in agile product management/ownership and usage of Agile methodologies with DevOps teams for implementation
- Understand business needs/demands and define business requirements at a product level
- Demonstrate excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work within global and diverse teams as well as with external partners and vendors
- Solid digital mindset and passion for improving processes
- Knowledge and experience in fields relevant for plant biotechnology such as molecular biology, genetics, trait and gene discovery, bioinformatics, breeding, lab processes and data management, and/or field/greenhouse trials is a plus
- Knowledge of software architecture or data modelling is a plus
