About the role
- Act as China legal entity responsible and being accountable for financial compliance of legal entity statements
- Act as the primary contact for local government authorities, e.g. tax authorities, on our side and the goal is to ensure efficient and effective handling of taxes and reporting related tasks in compliance with prevailing PRC accounting and tax laws/regulations in a sustainable manner.
- Build and maintain transparent and trusting relationship with tax authorities and related government authorities
- Act as business partner to proactively support business operation/project and contribute value to long-term business strategy by delivering tailor made advice and facilitating process implementation
- Act as the key contact for BASF finance TSA teams and ensure efficient communication among tax service provider, EC business functions and BASF TSA service providers to meet internal/external reporting and filing requirements during the TSA period
- Coordinate with BASF TSA service provider to ensure timely and correct submission of Group reporting package and local statutory reports.
- Collaborate with Tax service provider to manage local tax compliance which covers tax declaration and application, tax accounting and reporting and manage tax credit rating status, etc
- Support TSA exit activities, e.g. EC Baiwang, Helios and Weaver system implementation, etc.
- Coordinate and support in tax inspection / tax audit
- Contribute tailor made finance and tax advice and value-adding guidance to support strategic Business / Functional units’ operations / projects
- Provide finance and tax trainings as well as knowledge sharing to internal and/or external stakeholders
- Establish and optimize operational processes to drive efficiency and excellence in line with business needs
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor degree or above from university, majoring in finance, accounting and taxation related
- Certificate: CPA, CTA is a plus
- Working Experience: Over 5 years’ working experience with at least 3 years’ tax experience in multinational manufacturing company (experience in Big 4 and domestic leading firms is a plus)
- Technical & Professional Knowledge: - In-depth knowledge of PRC accounting regulations (IFRS and PRC) and tax operation and practice - Being familiar with ERP system and program (e.g. SAP), IT expertise and programming experience is plus - Team-oriented and self-motivated, strong customer orientation and drive for innovation - Strong logical analysis and organization skill, excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills - Fluent in both verbal and written English - Proficient MS Office skills for Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
