About the role
- Providing reliability support to the site by implementing and driving reliability programs
- Offering guidance and details for repair, maintenance, and inspection activities
- Utilizing tools such as RBI (Risk-Based Inspections), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis), and other reliability-based maintenance engineering principles and practices
- Ensuring that all reliability-related activities comply with the company’s Responsible Care Management System and all statutory regulations
- Applying appropriate reliability tools to drive improvements, optimize costs, and enhance Asset Effectiveness (e.g., Bad Actor Program, FMEA, RBI, RBM, RCM/Criticality Analysis, RCFA, etc.)
- Maintaining site programs for Mechanical Integrity, including Pressure Vessels, Tanks, Heat Exchangers, Piping Inspections, Relief Devices, and Flame Arrestors
- Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for the proactive identification and resolution of reliability issues
- Supporting capital projects by providing engineering expertise in the specification, design, and construction of projects in accordance with plant design requirements
- Designing maintenance strategies, procedures, inspection plans, and methods
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Have a bachelor’s degree and 6 or more years’ experience within a manufacturing or engineering role with technical knowledge of instrumentation and mechanical equipment; OR have a master’s degree and 4 or more years’ experience within a manufacturing or engineering role with technical knowledge of instrumentation and mechanical equipment.
- Have strong troubleshooting and diagnosis capability within operations and maintenance teams.
- Have strong interpersonal skills.
- Possess knowledge of Reliability Management tools such as maintenance strategies, inspection strategies, Bad Actor Program, FMEA, RBI, RBM, RCFA, EPAC.
- Have ability to develop and maintain metrics to measure reliability and efficiency of equipment, also applying digital tools (e.g. Power BI).
