About the role

  • Provide daily and strategic support to the units for successful environmental and pipeline compliance
  • Acting as the primary liaison across the organization to gather and manage data for environmental reporting, new permits, service agreements, and modifications to existing permits
  • Reviewing and maintaining compliance records for environmental and pipeline operations to ensure timely and accurate reporting and audit readiness
  • Coordinating regulatory submissions and documentation for agencies such as the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Texas Railroad Commission (TRRC), and Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA)
  • Participating in plant turnaround planning and execution, integrating environmental compliance into operational strategies and supporting root cause failure analyses for environmental incidents
  • Developing and implementing processes and training programs to achieve business objectives, regulatory compliance, and readiness of production personnel
  • Serving as the manufacturing representative for capital projects and overseeing management of change activities to maintain compliance and operational integrity

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering
  • Have 4+ years of experience in chemical plant manufacturing or refinery environments
  • Some manufacturing and/or regulatory body experiences will be considered
  • Display proven capacity for independent problem-solving and decision-making
  • Demonstrating strong self-motivation and initiative in a diverse technical environment, with minimal supervision required to operate effectively
  • Possess attention to detail, organizational skills, commitment to a safe and efficient workplace, and continuous improvement mindset
