About the role
- Maintaining employee personnel records, managing HR documentation, and ensuring accuracy in HR systems.
- Assisting with document preparation and other assigned administrative tasks.
- Coordinating training sessions, tracking employee participation, maintaining learning records, and supporting the rollout of development programs and tools.
- Handling miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
- Serving as a point of contact for all employee inquiries and escalating to People & Culture Business Partner as appropriate.
- Addressing employee questions and concerns with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Facilitating conflict resolution.
- Assisting in fostering a positive work environment by providing guidance on HR-related issues, conflict resolution and reporting, and communication efforts.
- Serving as the point of contact for all compliance and investigation related activities.
- Supporting on-site payroll administration.
- Managing document retention, auditing bulletin boards for compliance, and maintaining HR folders.
- Maintaining HR systems and ensuring data accuracy.
- Generating reports to assist in data analysis.
- Supporting digital transformation and process improvements.
- Assisting Supervisors and Managers in preparing and executing disciplinary and employment action with assistance from People & Culture Business Partner.
- Assisting leaders with offboarding processes.
- Contributing to initiatives aimed at promoting company culture, values, and employee engagement.
- Being the Site Medical Contact and coordinating with Occupational Advisor for Medical Clearances.
- Implementing training and development plans, updating employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status, processing employees’ queries and responding in a timely manner, assisting the People & Culture Business Partner (HRBP) with daily tasks and projects, and maintaining organizational charts and detailed job descriptions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Human Resources, Business, or other)
- 3+ years of proven experience in HR generalist role
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (unionized environment a plus)
- Complete know-how of MS office suite and Human Resources Information systems; good understanding of payroll software (a plus)
- Great attention-to-detail organizational skills
- Skills to multitask efficiently and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a challenging, time-driven environment
- Positive attitude towards challenges and excellent problem-solving skills
- Strategic thinking and mindset to contribute effectively to the Human Resources department
- A-Z familiarity with human resources functions and procedures
- Ability to securely handle employee records
