About the role

  • Manage all distribution partners across Europe, Turkey, Middle East, and Africa.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors; organize regular business review meetings.
  • Develop new applications in collaboration with technical teams.
  • Introduce and manage product portfolio; set and monitor annual targets per region.
  • Prepare bottom-up budgets aligned with strategic business goals.
  • Monitor sales performance and take corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting (e.g., visit reports, forecasts, opportunity pipelines).
  • Provide operational guidance to Customer Service Officers (CSO).
  • Conduct local market analysis focusing on demand and market share.
  • Implement and update sales concepts tailored to regional characteristics.
  • Support cross-regional projects initiated by the Business Unit.
  • Facilitate effective communication between BASF and local markets.
  • Foster long-term distributor loyalty and alignment with BASF’s strategic interests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy or a related field is required.
  • Advanced degrees such as a Master’s or PhD (e.g., in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or MBA) are considered a strong asset.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in sales and key account management, preferably in the Pharmaceutical or Nutraceutical industry.
  • Proven strategic and analytical thinking with strong project management capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a high customer focus.
  • Experience in leading diverse teams across regions and cultures.
  • Fluent in Business English.
  • Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
