About the role
- Overseeing site maintenance and ensuring the efficient operation of plant equipment
- Implementing preventative and corrective maintenance programs
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and execute improvements
- Managing contractor compliance and overseeing the annual maintenance budget
- Evaluate and execute plant modifications and upgrades
- Overseeing site maintenance and services, including water and power
- Implementing a preventative and corrective maintenance program using SAP PM
- Maintaining critical spare parts inventory
- Minimizing production downtime through effective scheduling of maintenance and repairs
- Managing external contractors to ensure compliance with on-site procedures and regulations
- Conducting mandatory inspections and maintaining documentation for safety and quality
- Leading process safety management reviews and participating in SHE risk assessments
- Preparing and managing the annual departmental operating budget
Requirements
- B.Sc. or B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 10 years of experience in a similar role with staff management experience
- Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) is advantageous
- Knowledge of EHS systems and Responsible Care Management is preferred
- Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint
- Strong skills in budget setting, forecasting, and reporting
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Expertise in automation systems (SCADA) and E&I knowledge
