About the role

  • Own the end-to-end external narrative for Base
  • Drive traditional PR, media relations, podcasts, and high-impact speaking opportunities
  • Understand and engage with Crypto Twitter
  • Serve as a high-conviction sounding board for leadership
  • Translate onchain innovation into compelling narratives
  • Redefine the comms workflow by leveraging AI tools
  • Collaborate with Marketing, BD, Social, and Corporate Comms to ensure consistency

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in PR/Communications
  • Proven track record of placing stories in top-tier publications (Bloomberg, CNBC, TechCrunch)
  • Must understand the nuances of the onchain world
  • Able to spot a PR landmine or a viral opportunity
  • Comfortable saying "don't do that" to leadership
  • Experience navigating decentralized technology and traditional regulatory narratives
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts to mainstream audiences.
