About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Be readily available daily between 10:00-11:00 am Eastern Standard Time to answer student questions and provide academic assistance in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Provide one-on-one and small-group intervention for students who need additional support.
Explain scientific concepts using different approaches to meet individual learning styles.
Help students connect scientific principles to real-world applications.
Encourage students to become independent, confident learners.
Monitor each student's academic progress on a daily and weekly basis using the school's online learning systems.
Identify students who are falling behind or struggling with specific concepts.
Update grades and progress reports within the school's learning management systems.
Coordinate with an in-class coach to organize and supervise hands-on laboratory activities and demonstrations that complement the online curriculum.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Science-related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience teaching high school science.
Strong knowledge of one or more of the following subjects:
○ Biology
○ Chemistry
○ Physics
The ability to teach across multiple science disciplines is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of high school science curricula and instructional best practices.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
