About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Be readily available daily between 10:00-11:00 am Eastern Standard Time to answer student questions and provide academic assistance in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group intervention for students who need additional support.
  • Explain scientific concepts using different approaches to meet individual learning styles.
  • Help students connect scientific principles to real-world applications.
  • Encourage students to become independent, confident learners.
  • Monitor each student's academic progress on a daily and weekly basis using the school's online learning systems.
  • Identify students who are falling behind or struggling with specific concepts.
  • Update grades and progress reports within the school's learning management systems.
  • Coordinate with an in-class coach to organize and supervise hands-on laboratory activities and demonstrations that complement the online curriculum.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Science-related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience teaching high school science.
  • Strong knowledge of one or more of the following subjects:
  • ○ Biology
  • ○ Chemistry
  • ○ Physics
  • The ability to teach across multiple science disciplines is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of high school science curricula and instructional best practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
