About the role
- Ensure revenue is recognized accurately and in compliance with ASC 606 (Subscription & Contract Revenue) and company policies
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and reports to support the monthly and quarterly financial close process
- Manage deferred revenue schedules, validate billing processes, and ensure alignment between revenue recognition and invoicing
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate proposed changes
- Identify ways to streamline accounting operations and ways to improve department performance
- Understand and adapt to various accounting software platforms and assist with implementation of systems
- Maintain extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Record accounting information in a professional and detailed manner
- Develop and enforce AR policies and procedures
- Heavy involvement in revenue recognition procedures and AR/billing oversight
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in accounting/finance
- Experience working in B2B SaaS
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with Netsuite
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software applications
