💰 $30 - $45 per hour

About the role

  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs and modifications on mechanical, electrical, or programmable controls for complex automated and integrated industrial packaging equipment at customer sites
  • Assist in the installation, start-up, checkout, validation, and testing of existing, upgraded, and new equipment
  • Work independently and decisively to analyze and effectively resolve faults or malfunctions
  • Interact with personnel at customer sites to provide insight on the safety, proper operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through oral and written communication and reporting
  • Act as liaison between customers, as well as internal departments, to ensure progress and quality of service
  • Provide both remote and onsite technical support to end use customers

Requirements

  • A degree in Mechatronics or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the packaging industry
  • Proficient in PLC programming, settings, and parameters
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic controls systems
  • Understanding of and ability to read floorplan layouts, electrical schematics, instrumentation diagrams, programming logic schema
  • Proficient in structured troubleshooting techniques
  • Excellent customer and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft office suite
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport
  • Willingness and ability to travel on short notice
