About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the electrical group, working as part of multidisciplinary project teams to provide electrical engineering and related technical expertise
- Integrate process, mechanical, and control requirements into comprehensive electrical systems
- Manage projects, coach and mentor less-experienced staff, provide technical leadership, manage teams to meet clients' needs, and conduct business development activities
- Prepare plans and specifications, write reports, develop cost estimations, and design power and controls from the ground up
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing projects, ensuring project milestones are met and providing regular updates to team members and clients
- Support the growth and development of team members while collaborating across disciplines
Requirements
What you’ll need- bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- at least 5 years of related experience working in a design capacity on projects directly related to job responsibilities described above
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or ability to obtain within one year
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr Engineering, now or in the future
