About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Engineering and Design business unit, working with multidisciplinary project teams to serve industrial clients in the power generation, oil and gas, and manufacturing sectors.
Develop and review engineering calculations, system specifications, and construction drawings; select equipment and components; and guide project execution from concept to bid packages.
Contribute to technical reports, cost estimates, proposals, and client-facing documentation that support critical infrastructure investments.
Help ensure project milestones are met and provide regular updates to team members and clients.
Serve as lead mechanical engineer or project manager for large capital projects within industries.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Education: mechanical engineering degree
Experience: 5+ years or relevant experience
Willingness and ability to regularly travel
Software: familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office software, and computer simulation modeling
Driver’s license: possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
Professional Engineer (PE) certification strongly preferred or ability to obtain.
