About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support power delivery team, working with multidisciplinary project teams providing electrical engineering and related technical expertise
- Manage projects, coaching and mentoring less-experienced staff, providing technical leadership
- Prepare designs for DC and AC collection systems and power plant controllers
- Focus on design and analysis including preparing plans and specifications, writing reports, and developing cost estimations
- Proposal development including defining work scopes, deliverables, schedules, and budget
- Ensure project milestones are met and provide regular updates to team members and clients
- Support the growth and development of team members
- Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and internal teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- At least 10 years of related experience working in a design capacity on projects directly related to job responsibilities
- Knowledge and experience with solar DC and AC solar collection system design
- Experience with power plant controllers
- Working knowledge of codes, standards, laws, and regulations applicable to the project assignments
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within one year
- Possession of a current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
