About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support power delivery team, working with multidisciplinary project teams providing electrical engineering and related technical expertise
Manage projects, coaching and mentoring less-experienced staff, providing technical leadership
Prepare designs for DC and AC collection systems and power plant controllers
Focus on design and analysis including preparing plans and specifications, writing reports, and developing cost estimations
Proposal development including defining work scopes, deliverables, schedules, and budget
Ensure project milestones are met and provide regular updates to team members and clients
Support the growth and development of team members
Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and internal teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
At least 10 years of related experience working in a design capacity on projects directly related to job responsibilities
Knowledge and experience with solar DC and AC solar collection system design
Experience with power plant controllers
Working knowledge of codes, standards, laws, and regulations applicable to the project assignments
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within one year
Possession of a current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
