About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

CAD and design support: Provide computer-aided drafting and design support for civil engineering projects
Process survey data and incorporate it into project designs
Perform grading design and generate 3D design surfaces
Develop and manage project CAD file structures, base files, and planimetrics
Prepare construction drawings and develop renderings
Develop material quantity take-offs from construction drawings
Work with engineers to design earthwork and utility projects
Assist with specification preparation and technical documentation
Prepare reports and supporting project deliverables
Assist with construction observation, administration, and monitoring
Participate in out-of-town assignments and field work as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Education: Two-year technical or engineering certificate/degree, or equivalent experience and/or coursework directly related to the role
Experience: 0-2 years of experience performing related work in an engineering or industrial environment
Software: Familiarity with civil CADD design platform: Autodesk, Civil 3D
Driver’s license: possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future.
