About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

supports project teams on civil engineering and related technical assignments, primarily focused on design for mining and industrial site development
project planning and management; civil design and analysis; CADD and Civil 3D modeling; preparation of construction plans, specifications, and spreadsheets; and coordination with multidisciplinary teams
additional duties involve site grading and layout design, design of buried utilities, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, report writing and large report support, construction cost estimating and construction management and observation
help ensure project milestones are met and provide regular updates to team members and clients
support the growth and development of team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
5 or more years of related work experience
experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Civil 3D
Professional Engineer (PE) certification or ability to obtain certification within one year
possession of a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr, now or in the future
