About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • supports project teams on civil engineering and related technical assignments, primarily focused on design for mining and industrial site development
  • project planning and management; civil design and analysis; CADD and Civil 3D modeling; preparation of construction plans, specifications, and spreadsheets; and coordination with multidisciplinary teams
  • additional duties involve site grading and layout design, design of buried utilities, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, report writing and large report support, construction cost estimating and construction management and observation
  • help ensure project milestones are met and provide regular updates to team members and clients
  • support the growth and development of team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
  • 5 or more years of related work experience
  • experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Civil 3D
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification or ability to obtain certification within one year
  • possession of a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr, now or in the future
