Key responsibilities & impact

support the Assessment and Remediation business unit
managing multidisciplinary teams
preparing technical work plans and reports
coordinating ASTM Phase I environmental site assessments
investigating contaminated soil, sediment, groundwater, and vapor intrusion
conducting remediation technology evaluations and feasibility studies
developing site management strategies
coordinating site remediation activities
preparing cost estimates and contracting for investigation activities
developing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets
conducting communications, meetings, and negotiations with clients and regulatory agency personnel
providing overall project management
mentoring junior staff
interacting with clients to identify and develop new project opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need

bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, geological, or chemical engineering or a related discipline
10 or more years of relevant experience
registered Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to become registered within one year
strong computer skills, including word processing and use of spreadsheets
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
