About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- support the Assessment and Remediation business unit
- managing multidisciplinary teams
- preparing technical work plans and reports
- coordinating ASTM Phase I environmental site assessments
- investigating contaminated soil, sediment, groundwater, and vapor intrusion
- conducting remediation technology evaluations and feasibility studies
- developing site management strategies
- coordinating site remediation activities
- preparing cost estimates and contracting for investigation activities
- developing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets
- conducting communications, meetings, and negotiations with clients and regulatory agency personnel
- providing overall project management
- mentoring junior staff
- interacting with clients to identify and develop new project opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, geological, or chemical engineering or a related discipline
- 10 or more years of relevant experience
- registered Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to become registered within one year
- strong computer skills, including word processing and use of spreadsheets
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
- possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
