About the role

  • Supports project teams on civil engineering and related technical assignments, primarily focused on design for power generation, mining, and industrial site development
  • Responsibilities include project planning and management; civil design and analysis; CADD modeling; preparation of construction plans, specifications, and spreadsheets; and coordination with multidisciplinary teams
  • Additional duties may involve site grading and layout, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, report writing and large report support, construction cost estimating, construction management and observation, and facility inspections
  • Provide regular updates to team members and clients
  • Support the growth and development of team members

Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
  • 5 or more years of related work experience
  • experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Civil 3D
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification or ability to obtain certification within one year
  • possession of a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr, now or in the future
