About the role
- Supports project teams on civil engineering and related technical assignments, primarily focused on design for power generation, mining, and industrial site development
- Responsibilities include project planning and management; civil design and analysis; CADD modeling; preparation of construction plans, specifications, and spreadsheets; and coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Additional duties may involve site grading and layout, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, report writing and large report support, construction cost estimating, construction management and observation, and facility inspections
- Provide regular updates to team members and clients
- Support the growth and development of team members
Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
- 5 or more years of related work experience
- experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Civil 3D
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or ability to obtain certification within one year
- possession of a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr, now or in the future
